[About CBW Honey] [Honey Nutrition] [Honey Storage] [Honey - Nature's Healer]
The hives are located in the San Pasqual Valley (the area of Northern San Diego just south of Escondido).
The honey is made from the pollen of Mixed Local Flowers and Plants, based on what is growing and in-season in the San Pasqual Valley (between Escondido and Rancho Bernardo).
This is likely to be the MOST Local and Freshest honey you will find at any San Diego Certified Farmers Market.
Hive - to bottle - to you.
Never Processed, Never Filtered, Never Heated, Nothing Added, Nothing Removed.
And YES, LOCAL IN-SEASON (Seasonal) Raw honey may help with Local Allergies! Stop by and ask us about it!
- LOCAL Honey is defined as honey from an area that contains the same plants, flowers, trees etc, and generally comes from hives located no more than 30 miles away.
- RAW Honey is extracted from the natural honeycomb, and strained only to remove particles of wax and other hive products; it has never been heated or subjected to any fine-filtering process which can change the taste and remove healthful properties.
- SEASONAL or IN-SEASON Local Honey is sought after for it's potential to afford relief for current-season allergy symptoms, as well as for it's taste and all of raw honey's natural health benefits. All our Seasonal Honeys are multi-floral (wildflower), and do generally have a predominant floral source contributing to its recognized flavor and color (variety).
- VARIETAL Local Honey is multi-floral (wildflower) honey produced by the local bees in earlier seasons, and is desired primarily for it's taste based on the predominant floral source (the Variety). Varietal Raw Honey contains all the natural health benefits of Raw Honey, however the likelihood for past-season Varietal Honeys to potentially offer relief for current-season allergy symptoms may be limited.

If you need to remove unwanted bees, please consider live removal, rather than extermination. Bees are important to our planet, food crops and people.
The San Diego Beekeeping Society provides a list of San Diego County beekeepers who utilize live removal whenever possible.
What is a Certified Farmer?
Inspectors from the San Diego Department of Agriculture, Weights and Measures inspect San Diego County farms and other properties to verify what is raised or grown there. After satisfactorily meeting the requirements of the inspection, the farmer is certified for those specific products.
This certification allows the farmer to sell their produce at San Diego Certified Farmers' Markets, documents what crops the farmer is growing or producing and where within San Diego County, and certifies that the produce is being grown or raised within San Diego County.
What is a San Diego Certified Farmers' Market?
A San Diego Certified Farmers' Market (CFM) is a location within San Diego County approved by the San Diego County Agricultural Commissioner where California Certified Farmers offer for sale only those agricultural products they grow themselves in California, or products from another California Certified Farmer (known as a sub-certification).
